Metallica will play at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin on May 30, 2026. All information about the “M72 World Tour”: admission, support acts, directions and expected setlist at a glance.

Unlike in Frankfurt, where the quartet will play two evenings on May 22nd and 24th as part of a “No Repeat Weekend”, Berlin is a solo show. The full 360° stage production is also coming to the capital. Here is an overview of all the information about the Metallica gig on Saturday, May 30, 2026 in the Olympic Stadium.

Tickets

The show is completely sold out. The VIP and hospitality tickets are also no longer available. Any remaining quotas and fan sales are only available via the official ticket shops ticketmaster.de and eventim.de. The Olympic Stadium expressly warns against purchasing on secondary market platforms such as Viagogo, StubHub or Ticketbande.

times

Admission opens at 4 p.m. The concert starts at 5:30 p.m. On the previous tour stops since April 2023, the shows lasted an average of around two hours and ten minutes – Metallica’s performance itself could regularly be expected from around 8:35 p.m. Before that there are two support acts to see.

Support

Special guests on May 30th are the French band Gojira, who became known to a worldwide audience through their performance at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. Before that, the Grammy-nominated hardcore/metalcore band Knocked Loose heats things up.

Warm-up show the evening before

If you weren’t able to get tickets, you’ll be offered an alternative the evening before: an official warm-up show will take place at the Kulturbrauerei on May 29th, organized by the tribute band My’tallica and the German Metallica fan club St. Germany. It starts at 3 p.m. with a fan meeting in the Soda Club beer garden. From 7:30 p.m. My’tallica plays in the Kesselhaus (tickets around 34 euros), and from 10 p.m. there will be an after-show party in the Frannz Club. Flemming Rasmussen, the Danish producer of several Metallica albums, has been announced as a special guest.

Venue and address

The concert takes place in the Olympic Stadium Berlin. The address is: Olympischer Platz 3, 14053 Berlin.

Directions

Due to its central location and good public transport connections, the Olympic Stadium expressly recommends traveling by public transport. If you are coming by car, you should arrive in good time – parking spaces around the stadium are limited.

Arrival by public transport

The U2 subway line takes you to the Olympia-Stadion subway station. From there it is 500 meters to the east gate and 870 meters to the south gate.

The S-Bahn lines S3 and S9 stop at the Olympiastadion S-Bahn station. From there, short paths lead to the entrances: 200 meters to the south gate (Flatowallee exit) and 250 meters to the east gate (Trakehner Allee exit).

By bus take the M49 or 218 to the Flatowallee stop. Alternatively, bus line 104 goes to the Neu-Westend subway station, and from there take the U2 one stop.

Park

There are several parking areas around the Olympic Stadium: the Olympischer Platz car park and the P O4 and P O5 car parks, both with barrier-free spaces.

Setlist

There is no official announcement, but a look at the shows so far on the European tour gives a good impression. In Bucharest (May 13, 2026) the setlist looked like this:

  • Creeping Death
  • For Whom the Bell Tolls
  • Of Wolf and Man
  • The Memory Remains
  • Lux Æterna
  • The Unforgiven
  • Fuel
  • Kirk and Rob improvise
  • The Day That Never Comes
  • Wherever I May Roam
  • Nothing Else Matters
  • Sad but true
  • One
  • Seek & Destroy
  • Master of Puppets
  • Enter Sandman

The most frequently played songs on the “M72” tour include classics such as “Enter Sandman,” “Creeping Death,” “Master of Puppets,” “Nothing Else Matters” and “One.” Cult songs like “Battery” or “Blackened” make it onto the set list much less often. Surprises are rare: the cover “Am I Evil?” For example, Metallica have only played once on the entire tour so far.

Since Berlin is played as a single show, “Enter Sandman” and “Master of Puppets” – which are spread over two evenings in Frankfurt through the “No Repeat Weekend” format – could possibly even be performed together on this evening.

Bags and stadium rules

The following applies in the Olympic Stadium: Bags are only permitted up to a maximum of DIN A4 (21 × 29.7 cm). Larger bags and backpacks will not be admitted and cannot be left on site. Smaller bags such as fanny packs are permitted, but the organizer asks that you limit yourself to an “absolutely necessary minimum (e.g. money, medication)”. Glass bottles, cans, hard packaging and all objects that can be used as projectiles – including deodorant or perfume bottles – are also prohibited.

Weather

Since the concert takes place outdoors, you should choose your clothing carefully. Luckily for everyone who wanted to leave their winter jacket at home: the weather is expected to be sunny with a slightly summery 20 degrees – without rain.
