Missing Belgian hiker (62) found alive in France after eight days: “Everyone stood there with tears in their eyes”

On May 21, a missing Belgian hiker was found alive in France by the volunteer organization Flemish Rescue Dogs. This was reported to us via our tip line 4040. The 62-year-old man was reported missing by his family eight days earlier. He was hospitalized but is now in a stable condition. “The reunion was very emotional,” says a Flemish volunteer who was present at the rescue operation.
