We are in the 80s and the famous actress has to shoot a bizarre science fiction film in Cinecittà with pulp tones. Among the protagonists of the film, many Italian names also stand out, such as Isabella Ferrari, Franco Nero, Maurizio Lombardiand the big one Ornella Muti, who said: «This director is very special, he is a director unique, cutting-edge, and now there aren’t many of them that express their concepts the way they want. Each character is not obvious, on the contrary.”
Ornella Muti in Cannes: «I don’t live on memories, I look to the future. We only have one life!”
In Elastic Romein which the Muti plays a very eccentric characterfiction and reality are confused. The film is in some way also a tribute to Italian authors of the past, from Bava to Antonioni to Fellini. But Ornella is not a person who lives on nostalgia. «We always have to move forwardconform, because otherwise you live in memories, in nostalgia. – he said – What’s the point? We have to feel good: we only have one life!».
And in fact there is no shortage of projects for the Italian actress, who finished before Cannes shoot Luca Miniero’s series The Labelwith Christian De Sica. «Then I should play a part in the Pupi Avati seriesthen I should put on a show for this theater winter. I have a few things cooking” concluded the actress.
