Calascibetta explains further: «In this second edition we wanted to directly involve future professionals in the sector in one of the symbolic places of the meeting between education and creativity». And that is the IED in Milan: the appointment is next May 27th at 10 am. Central theme: Information. Communication. Markets.
«Fashion is an ecosystem in which information, communication and markets influence each other», explains Danilo Venturi, director of IED Milan, underlining the importance of dialogue between the various players in the sector. «Initiatives like this help develop a critical gaze in the new generations, not only on a creative but also cultural and strategic level».

Style Magazine’s Fashion Talk, May 27, 2026 at the IED in Milan
The morning will be divided into three thematic panels, each followed by a space dedicated to questions from the public and students.
The first meeting, “Writing fashion. News and criticism: two parallel methods“, will be moderated by the co-director of Corriere della Sera Barbara Stefanelli and will see the participation of Michele Ciavarella, Angelo Flaccavento, Paola Pollo and Serena Tibaldi. A discussion dedicated to role of fashion journalism between story, analysis and criticism.
The second panel, “Branding and communication: relationships with information”, will be led by Cristiano Seganfreddo and will delve into the increasingly strategic relationship between brands, media and contemporary communication. Tomaso Galli, Valerio Innella, Andreina Longhi and Jessica Riccardi will speak.

Closing the day will be the panel “Are clothes luxury items? The epochal choice of the Fashion System“, moderated by Michele Ciavarella, with interventions by Beppe Angiolini, Sabato De Sarno, Stefania Lazzaroni and Danilo Venturi. At the center of the debate, the positioning of luxury and the transformations that are redefining the international fashion market.
