With songs like “The Visitor,” “Die On This Hill” and “You Stole The Show,” Sienna Spiro created a small sensation: all three singles were in the Billboard Top 100 at the same time, even before the Brit had even released an album.
That is now changing, because Spiro is releasing their first LP entitled “Visitor” on July 3rd. The singer recently impressed the audience on tour in North America, and she wants to impress the German audience in Cologne on Thursday (May 21st).
With her powerful voice, not far removed from Adele, Sienna Spiro sounds like a musician who has had a whole life behind her – but she is only just beginning. Between soul, jazz and modern (symphonic) pop, the Londoner talks about loneliness, longing and the feeling of always being a little outside the world. Her pieces sometimes resemble nighttime thoughts more than song narratives. They are dramatic and make their singer appear vulnerable at all times.

Just one visitor in life
Spiro about her debut: “I’ve always had a strong awareness of impermanence; I’m very afraid of things ending and people leaving. This fear is so intense that I often don’t even get involved in new relationships or ventures that I know won’t last. So I’ve spent most of my life feeling like I’m just a ‘visitor’; like someone just passing through. Working on this album “But it taught me to truly savor the moment instead of constantly worrying about the future. I hope the album gives listeners comfort – comfort in knowing that everything in life is temporary; we can’t always rush to let things go without insisting that they last forever.”
The singer began writing her own songs at the tender age of ten. Frank Ocean, Etta James, Frank Sinatra and Amy Winehouse are among her heroes. Spiro gained attention with her EP “Sink Now, Swim Later”. She has clearly found her style now. The musician can also be seen at numerous festivals in the summer.
