Raymond Mens has arrived at the Today Inside staff outing on Curaçao and has also brought his fierce friend, also called Raymond. This seems to have averted a relationship break…
The past few weeks have been incredibly difficult for Raymond Mens in private. His Norwegian friend, also called Raymond, was in shock after the broadcast of Today Inside in which Gerard Joling shared a striking anecdote. He said that he had visited Raymond Mens at home to give his Norwegian friend a turn. And Raymond Mens agreed.
Relationship crisis
Because Gerard and Raymond told the anecdote seriously, many people assumed that this really happened and that the gentlemen simply have loose sexual morals. But guess what? That Norwegian friend was so furious that Raymond Mens immediately released a statement and indicated that Geer’s member had never been with his friend.
Many people did not believe this, which put pressure on Raymond’s relationship. He suddenly had a fierce, red-faced Viking on the couch at home. Why was that friend so bossy? Well, according to Victor Vlam, it is because the Norwegian is not a celebrity and something like that would stick with him longer.
Averted
Fortunately for everyone involved, the relationship crisis now appears to have been averted, because Raymond flew with his boyfriend yesterday to Curaçao, where VI’s two-week staff outing is currently taking place. “Of course we have Raymond Mens and his friend here,” notes René van der Gijp on last night’s broadcast.
Colleague Wilfred Genee: “No, he’s coming. He’s on the plane with Valentine’s Day.”
René: “That friend is a weatherman.”
“He’s not coming!”
Johan Derksen then indicates that that fierce friend is not coming. “Yes, but he won’t come!”
René, however: “Yes, he will come along.”
Wilfred confirms: “Yes, he is there too. They are so crazy about each other. And as long as Gerard Joling is not around, nothing can happen!”
Poor boy
Johan feels terrible for that Norwegian boy. “Look, I felt a bit sorry for that poor boy, because Joling starts making jokes and it ends up on the internet and the boy translates it and it is forever on the internet saying that Joling gave him a turn. I can imagine that boy panics a bit.”
Bar guest Merel Ek: “I still don’t get it, but Joling didn’t stand at Raymond’s door?”
René: “No, that was a joke, dude.”
Wilfred concludes: “No, absolutely nothing happened.”
