The global shoe and sports brand SKECHERS combines a showroom and German headquarters in one building on the ANWR GROUP campus in Mainhausen. Move-in is planned for mid-2028. With this decision, one of the strongest international footwear companies is clearly committed to Mainhausen as an order location and underlines its high relevance within the European shoe, sports and lifestyle industry.
The ANWR campus is already one of the most important order platforms in Europe. There are currently over 100 brands with permanent showrooms there. These include numerous global companies and thus a large number of the top suppliers to the shoe, sports and lifestyle industries.
On the part of SKECHERS, the step is seen as a strategic investment in proximity, efficiency and long-term partnership. “Mainhausen offers us the ideal conditions to further bundle our European activities and move closer to our trading partners,” explains Christoph Wilkens, Managing Director of SKECHERS USA Deutschland GmbH. “The presence on the ANWR campus enables us to have a more intensive dialogue with specialist retailers and creates optimal conditions for sustainable growth in Europe.”
With SKECHERS’ decision, ANWR GROUP is strengthening its role as a platform for brands and retailers alike. The planned move in mid-2028 not only marks a milestone for the ANWR campus in Mainhausen, but also a further step in the consistent development of the location as a European competence center for shoes, sport and lifestyle.
“With the approximately 4,500 square meter new building, together with SKECHERS, we are making a strong statement. Another global player is choosing our location. This makes our campus even more relevant for European retail and underlines the close, trusting cooperation with our partners,” says Tobias Eichmeier, Chief Commercial Officer of the ANWR GROUP. “The decision confirms our claim to be a central Europe-wide order and meeting place for trade and industry. Our trading partners in particular benefit from the even closer integration with the brand and the expanded presentation options on site.”
