“The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” has announced some of the guests appearing on the last week of broadcast will be guests.

In addition to a few surprise guests to be announced throughout the week, “The Late Show” announced Friday that the Tuesday, May 19, episode will feature interviews with Steven Spielberg and Colbert’s former “Daily Show” colleague Jon Stewart, as well as a joint appearance by David Byrne and Colbert.

On the Wednesday, May 20 episode, Bruce Springsteen will appear alongside other special guests – plus Colbert will answer his own “The Colbert Questionert” for the first time.

Series finale still secret

Details about the series finale on Thursday, May 21st have not yet been revealed. The Monday episode from May 18th will initially have no guests. Colbert wants to show “The Worst” from “The Late Show” instead. Where the episode specifically says “not a clip show!” should be.

As previously reported, the other late-night shows will give Colbert the stage alone on his final night. Both Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel will air reruns on May 21st.

In Colbert’s final weeks, “The Late Show” has significantly ratcheted up the star power. With guests like Oprah Winfrey, Barack Obama, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and David Letterman. The original “Late Show” host returned to throw CBS property off the roof of the Ed Sullivan Theater in a time-honored tradition. The Strokes, Michael Stipe, Chris Stapleton and the Foo Fighters were also recent guests. The latter were the last musical act to appear at the finale of Letterman’s “Late Show”.
