A motorcyclist had to surrender his driver’s license to the traffic police on Wednesday after a crazy ride near Maren-Kessel. He caught the officers’ attention during a short speed check on the Wildse Dijk in the village.
“With a lot of noise and a knee on the ground, he came through the bend at enormous speed,” an officer said on Instagram. “Our laser gun indicated a speed of no less than 194 kilometers per hour.” There is a maximum speed of 80 kilometers per hour.
It didn’t stop there. Within the built-up area of Maren-Kessel, the motorcyclist clocked a speed of 121 kilometers per hour, where 50 kilometers per hour is the maximum. The 27-year-old driver was ordered to stop immediately by the officers. The Public Prosecution Service determines what will happen to his driver’s license.
