Only a few more days until the Rolling Stones’ long-awaited new record “Foreign Tongues” will be released. Like “Hackney Diamonds”, it was once again produced by Andrew Watt and contains a few surprises – including a collaboration with Paul McCartney and Robert Smith.

Anyone who can hardly wait for the release will have the chance to hear the new Stones songs before everyone else on July 9th in Berlin, Munich, Hamburg and Cologne (not just “Rough And Twisted” and “In The Stars”, the first singles from them).

  • Berlin – Dussmann – The Cultural Department Store (9 p.m.)
  • Hamburg – MediaMarkt Mönckebergstrasse (9 p.m.)
  • Cologne – Saturn Hansaring/Hohe Straße (9 p.m.)
  • Munich – Optimal Records (7 p.m. and 9 p.m.)

Tickets are available to purchase for the event. They are already in great demand. But ROLLING STONE readers are in luck. We are giving away tickets for each of the prelistening sessions.

Simply email [email protected] with the subject “Rolling Stones Prelistening” and add the following information: first name, last name, address and preferred city.

Are the Rolling Stones still going on tour?

Because it continues to concern many of our readers: What about a Rolling Stones tour? After all, one had already been announced recently, but then it was canceled again.

The topic of live performances was not mentioned at all at the official presentation of “Foreign Tounges” with comedian Conan O’Brien. In the USA, the individual members promoted the new material individually on the talk shows. There was no joint appearance.

The reason for the concert cancellation could be Keith Richards. The guitarist, who is now 82 years old, has suffered from arthritis for years. Richards has publicly stated that the illness forced him to make adjustments to his guitar playing. Although he performed a short set at the Soho Sessions in New York last month, a tour lasting several weeks through several countries represents a significantly greater physical strain than individual performances.

An unnamed US music critic told the British Sun last year that Richards had said in internal discussions that he could not commit to a four-month stadium tour. Another spokesperson, also anonymous, said the band had tried to tour earlier in the year but had also been unable to make that happen.
