Vaasan has started change negotiations at his bakery in Vammala.

Vaasan plans to close its Vammala bakery. The bakery makes sweet bakery products, such as donuts and pies.
– If the negotiations end in closing the bakery, the production of Ooh donuts and Isoäidi’s blueberry pie will stop, says Vaasan’s CEO Tuomas Mantere Iltalehti by e-mail.
According to Manteree, the Vammala bakery’s production volume has decreased significantly, and its operation is no longer financially viable.
Vaasan bought Vammala’s bakery about 20 years ago.
Ten people work in Vammala’s bakery, and the change negotiations concern the entire staff. The change negotiations will start yesterday, Tuesday, and the aim is to complete them within the three-week negotiation period.
In addition to Vammala, Vaasani currently has bakeries in Kiiminki, Kuusankoski and Vantaa.
