Donald Trump shared dozens of bizarre messages on his social network Truth Social yesterday. The American president reposted videos, screenshots and cartoons on very different themes: his defeat in the 2020 elections, attacks on Obama, the war with Iran and Venezuela, which he shows on a map as the “51st state of the US”.

Trump is known for his profusion of social media posts, but the pace and content of his recent posts are especially notable as more and more questions are asked about his physical and mental health. In the night from Monday to Tuesday, about fifty messages appeared on his account, some of them double-posted. With the exception of a few written posts, it almost exclusively involved shared images and screenshots.

From election fraud to Iran

The content of the messages varies widely. Many posts repeat Trump’s unfounded belief that he won the 2020 presidential election. In other messages he attacks former President Barack Obama or former FBI Director James Comey. “Obama is a devilish force,” one of the messages said.

On Tuesday during the day, Trump also continued to share messages. For example, he posted a graph about the record levels on the stock market, an image of an Iranian plane being destroyed by a laser with the caption “Lasers: Bing, bing, nothing left!!!”, and an insulting cartoon of the Democratic governor of Illinois, JB Pritzker.

Trump also shared an AI image showing Barack Obama and former President Joe Biden sitting among the trash in the pool next to the Lincoln Memorial in Washington. That image was accompanied by the caption: “Democratic idiots love sewers.”

Trump also posted a very long written post about that basin in which he defends its renovation. He also lashes out at ‘The New York Times’, which wrote about the lack of transparency in the allocation of the works and reported that the costs would be much higher than anticipated.

Mental health questions

A recent poll by The Washington Post, ABC News and Ipsos shows that 59 percent of respondents believe Donald Trump is mentally unfit to lead the country. According to 55 percent, he also does not have the necessary physical health.

Trump himself insists he is in top form. “I feel like I did fifty years ago. It’s crazy,” he said on Monday. “I am an extremely brilliant person,” he wrote on Truth Social on April 22.

The White House announced Monday that Trump will have a medical and dental checkup on May 26. It will be his third audit since returning to the White House a year and a half ago.
