Ferry Doedens has promised to Shownieuws that he wants to speak to the press at the court tomorrow, but that may not happen after all. “There’s a chance he’ll have a panic attack.”
It is unprecedented: Ferry Doedens has been caught by the police three times for driving under the influence of drugs. And then you can be sure that this is a daily practice for him, because the chance of being caught is quite small. He is currently doing community service for the first two incidents, and he has to go to court tomorrow for the third incident.
Ferry talks
Ferry has informed Shownieuws that he will speak to the press after the hearing and his lawyer Kerem Canatan confirms his intention to do so. “He will first tell his story to the judge and then he may speak to the press,” he says RTL Boulevard.
We don’t hear much from Ferry at the moment, says reporter Aran Bade. “He is preparing for that case and he is now doing the dishes. He is carrying out community service and has reported for it. It is clear that he takes it seriously, because he still has a story to explain to that judge.”

Why, according to Aran, is this a very serious hearing day? “Because it is the third time that he has been found behind the wheel with narcotics. Then you think: how is it possible that you are picked off the road three times in a row in such a short time?”
Aran hopes to speak to Ferry. “The latest news we know from his ex-manager Christian Looman is that he is willing to talk to us and explain it. We have of course seen that documentary, but that has also raised a lot of questions, such as: why are you using that crypto until the middle of the night?”
Panic attack
However, according to Aran, there is a chance that Ferry last minute decides not to show up after all. “What is happening now is that they are not entirely sure whether he will appear at that court on Wednesday, because he is suffering from panic attacks.”
What happens if he has one of those panic attacks? “That means he’s on it moment supremeif something has to happen, that he is not available, his phone does not work, people knock on his door but nothing happens.”
