Swedish millionaire mother Gunilla Persson was involved in a fire – again.
Expressen’s according to Persson woke up at night to the smell of smoke. He opened the door to the staircase of an apartment building in Högsjö, Sweden, and the situation dawned quickly. The neighboring apartment had caught fire.
Persson and his daughter Erika Persson were hospitalized after inhaling smoke.
According to Expressen, no one died in the fire, and the cause of the fire is unknown. However, no crime is suspected in the matter. The fire did not spread to other apartments. Persson commented to Aftonbladet that he does not know the fate of his apartment.
On Saturday, Gunilla published an emotional update on his Instagram account. Hogsjö’s apartment is his childhood home.
– This doesn’t feel real. We live in some unspeakably painful reality. My only remaining home has burned to the ground, Persson wrote on social media.

Previous fires
This is not the first time Persson has come under fire. Persson’s house in Los Angeles burned to the ground in early 2025. Persson also woke up to the sounds of fire in 2017. At that time, his house in the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles was almost completely burned down.
