A car left the road on the A28 near Assen last night. The driver was transported to hospital with injuries.
The car drove up the side of a viaduct and hit several trees. Ultimately, the vehicle came to a halt with its side against the tree, badly damaged.
The police are investigating the cause of the accident. A recovery company towed the heavily damaged vehicle.
