Music mogul Simon Cowell admits he behaved inferiorly towards Susan Boyle.
Cowell sat on the judging panel when Boyle performed Britain’s Got Talent program in 2009. The judging panel also included Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden.
As Boyle answered questions before his performance, Cowell and Morgan rolled their eyes and raised their eyebrows. The two seemed to be suspicious of the performer because of his appearance and his discharge.
Cowell, who has been a judge in many TV shows, remembers the situation Tales From The Celebrity Trenches on the podcast. Tells about it The Mirror.
– Looking back, I think “oh my God, we look terrible, terrible”, describes Cowell.
– And I don’t think we even look bad enough. I think we are even worse.
Cowell brings up a detail that seems especially boring.
– The look that Piers gave me. It’s probably the worst of all the looks I remember. And I was just as bad, says Cowell.
When Boyle opened his mouth and began to sing I Dreamed A Dream – song Les Miserables -musical, the jury was amazed. Boyle’s singing voice has been described as “angelic”.
– We look sick, but in that moment you have to put your hands up and accept that “many people will realize in about a day that we are absolutely terrible”, Simon Cowell describes in the podcast.

Scotsman Susan Boyle has told The Irish Mirror that she felt like a “circus freak” during the audition.
– It felt suffocating, almost as if I were a program number in a freak show, and it hurt, Boyle has said.
Boyle has earned millions of pounds in his career and continued to live a down-to-earth life despite his success.
