A fifteen-year-old girl from Oegstgeest died on Sunday during the marathon in Leiden. The runner became unwell during the event. Emergency services tried to resuscitate her, but in vain. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, the girl later died. Due to the incident, the 10 kilometers and the kids run have been canceled.
