The handball players from HSG Blomberg-Lippe have reached the final of the Bundesliga. There they meet BVB,
The main round winners from Blomberg won the deciding game of the best-of-three semi-final series on Saturday with 35:24 (19:10) against Thüringer HC. Thanks to the 2-1 series win, the East Westphalians will now face Borussia Dortmund in the final series.
As spurred on by the narrow defeat (28:29) in game two last Sunday, the Blomberg women got into the game well and quickly built an 11:6 lead. After that, they left no doubt about reaching the final and continued to increase the result.
Hoping for the first championship title
The HSG handball players had already reached the championship final last season. Blomberg-Lippe lost the final series 0-2 against HB Ludwigsburg and thus missed the first championship win in the club’s history.
Now the second attempt against the DHB Cup winners from Dortmund. The BVB women won their semi-final duel against HSG Bensheim-Auerbach 2-0. The final series will also be played in best-of-three mode.
