Mohamed Amoura from VfL Wolfsburg has been left out of the squad for the second time this season for disciplinary reasons. The club confirmed this to “X”. Due to an incident during training, both Algerian striker and midfielder Kevin Paredes will miss the home game against German champions FC Bayern Munich.
“There are no two opinions in situations like this where we are. The discipline has to be there and it wasn’t there in that one moment in training,” said coach Hecking on “Sky”. “Then we have to live with the consequences. The other players will absorb it.”
Hecking’s predecessor Daniel Bauer had already thrown Amoura out of the matchday squad in January before the 1-0 defeat at 1. FC Köln because of his behavior in training. The 26-year-old attacker came from Union Saint-Gilloise in Belgium in 2024 and is considered a lucrative sales candidate in Wolfsburg every summer because of his speed and talent.
