At the moment, Alko’s most expensive products in the selection are whiskeys. The most expensive drink is malt whiskey Glenfarclas 70 Year Old Single Malt. You can spend 23,498.33 euros on the bottle.
– This is an exceptionally rare 70-year-old single malt, of which only 262 bottles have been bottled worldwide, says Alko’s product communications manager Anri Lindström.
In Alko, one piece of this malt whiskey is available.
– It was distilled in 1953, matured in first-fill sherry casks and has been in Glenfarclas’ warehouses for decades, which increases both the collector’s value and the production costs.
It is a very unique product.
– That number of bottles is really small, says Lindström.
Some of the most expensive products can be ordered through Alko’s online store and some can be found in stores, especially in Arkadia’s flagship store, says Lindström.
