Everything is ready for the debut of the world number one on the Centrale del Foro: there are no precedents at ATP level with the Austrian rival

After many days of waiting, here is Jannik Sinner’s debut at the Rome Internationals on the Central court of the Foro. As his first rival, the Austrian Ofner, never met at ATP level but beaten in the final in 2019 in the Ortisei Challenger. Let’s find out the Sinner-Ofner prediction and odds scheduled for Saturday 9 May at 7pm.

SINNER-OFNER ODDS PREDICTION

After Madrid’s triumph in the final against Zverev, Jannik rested a few days and then prepared this debut at the Internazionali d’Italia, the only Masters 1000 tournament missing from his palmares. Obviously the blue appears as the first favorite for success ahead of the German, seeded number 2, and Nole Djokovic, returning after a period of hiatus. The Serbian, as is known, manages himself to play the main events of the season and Rome represents his main test in view of the Paris Slam.

Sinner comes from four consecutive successes in 2026 in the Masters 1000, even five considering indoor Paris in November 2025. Last year the South Tyrolean lost in the final against Alcaraz upon returning to activity after the suspension for the Clostebol case. Now Jannik aims for the big target.

For the bookies of the main betting sites there are no big doubts about the possible 2-0 in set betting. A solution that is on the board at 1.10 on Snai and at 1.08 on Admiralbet, Netbet and William Hill.

JANNIK’S LONG SERIES

Since the elimination in Doha in the quarterfinals against Mensik, he has won 23 consecutive matches and the series extends to 28 considering only the Masters 1000 tournaments. With three more successes in Rome, the Italian would equal Djokovic’s record (31 in a row) while with four he would become the number one ever in this particular ranking too.

Obviously the Italian fans expect a new Sinner triumph fifty years after Adriano Panatta’s victory in Rome (1976). It’s been fifty years since one of our tennis players has won the Internationals and the moment seems right, especially in the absence of Carlos Alcaraz, who due to his absence will leave another 1000 points in the ATP ranking, where Sinner is in command with a large advantage over the Spaniard.

In the match against Ofner, the Under 17.5s who are on the board at 1.90 on Snai, 1.80 on Netbet and William Hill and at 1.78 on Admiralbet are to be considered in the overall games count.
