Yeah, why not? Free transfer, young, can be something, 4 year contract + 1 more via option…

You need transfers of this kind to get a player started who will then bring in big transfer fees.

It’s just the lottery… but we don’t have any other choice to land such a lucky hit… we have to play the lottery for it.

But it has to be clear that it most likely won’t help us… at least not yet, and most likely never. That’s not so bad IF you still act accordingly. We need a center forward who is already at Bundesliga level. Of course they aren’t cheap… but if you had 10 million for a Mbangula, something similar must also be possible for a 9 series.

The name Jonas Wind has been mentioned very often here in the forum, he knows the league, has delivered before, and I’m thinking of someone like that too. But he has to know for himself whether he wants to fight for relegation… I haven’t heard from Bosher that they’re trying to get him, which is quite annoying… because in our situation you HAVE to look for a player like that and have actually been doing so for months.

However, another young talent isn’t necessarily something we need right now, but such opportunities shouldn’t be passed up too lightly.

But you also have to keep an eye on what is happening with the existing staff. I think most people agree that Keke Topp is not and will no longer be a Bundesliga striker. He still has a contract until 2028, a 1-year loan might be an option… because no one will pay us a transfer fee for that. I could imagine him in Heidenheim in the second division, for example… or another second division club.

Otherwise, we still have Musah in the squad… this transfer is of course more of a negative signal for him. Competition is important… but 2-3 young talents fighting for the backup position of the one center forward position probably doesn’t get those talents any further. They have to play every now and then.

When you bring in someone like Quetant, you have to give him a chance… which means Musah doesn’t get one for now. Sitting on your ass doesn’t help either of them and it doesn’t help a top either… So a loan would probably make sense for Musah too.

I see a little more in Musah than in Topp at the moment, but I’m anything but convinced that Musah will really make the leap to becoming a Bundesliga striker… I don’t know Quetant, but maybe he’ll show more?

Let’s see….

Either way, we can’t go into the new season with lots of talent, under no circumstances.
