Khloé Kardashian doesn’t have good memories of the Coachella festival. In the current episode of her podcast “Khloé in Wonder Land,” the reality TV celebrity explains, why she hasn’t been to the music festival in California in over a decade.
In the episode, Kardashian responded to a listener’s question: “Have you ever been to Coachella?” Kardashian confirmed that she “was there once.”
“It’s been a while,” she recalled. “I think 2016 or something. It wasn’t a particularly nice experience. I was drugged without my knowledge – although I think everyone else knew. There was this juice at the party we were at. I don’t think anyone drugged me on purpose. I was just the naive one who didn’t realize everyone was on drugs.”
Locked in the bathroom for hours
She added, “I remember drinking that drink and feeling really weird afterward. Nobody wants to feel that way and not know why. I remember locking myself in the bathroom for hours. I didn’t realize what had happened until afterward – that I was under the influence of drugs. Everyone was yelling at me because I couldn’t get out of the bathroom. But I was scared. I was totally caught up in my head. I was so scared. So my Coachella experience was anything but good.”
Although Kardashian has since stayed away from the festival, her sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner were there this year – to see Justin Bieber’s headlining performance.
Elsewhere in the podcast, Kardashian discussed her drunk driving arrest in 2007. A listener asked if it was true that Kardashian’s friend Malika Haqq did her hair for the identity photo. She explained, “The first time I got arrested, for my DUI – that was obviously very scary.” And further: “I didn’t know that I would have to go to prison because it was my first offense ever.”

Since she was arrested on a weekend, she had to stay until Monday. “I was sitting in a holding cell with 23 other women, all of whom were prostitutes except me,” Kardashian said. “But I was wearing a very short dress, so I probably didn’t look exactly unsuspicious.”
When she had to serve a 30-day suspended sentence in 2018 for violating her conditions, Haqq actually took over the hairstyling task. “Malika actually did my hair for this identity photo,” Kardashian confirmed. “She did a good job.”
