After the first leg defeat, Bayern missed the necessary victory in the second leg against PSG. A former Bundesliga professional seals the end of FCB.

In the semi-final second leg of the Champions League, FC Bayern drew 1-1 (0-1) from Paris Saint-Germain in front of their home crowd. After the 4:5 defeat in the first leg, the Munich team was eliminated from the premier class.

Former Dortmund player Ousmane Dembélé (3rd minute) scored the first goal of the evening, Harry Kane only equalized in stoppage time (90th + 4). In the final, PSG will face Arsenal FC in Budapest on May 30th (from 6 p.m. in the live ticker on t-online).

Bayern got off to a very bad start in front of a sold-out crowd at the Allianz Arena. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia broke through on the left after a pass and found Dembélé with his cross pass in the penalty area. The Frenchman, who had already won twice in the first leg, gave Manuel Neuer no chance with a well-placed finish under the crossbar.

The early goal had an impact. It took until the 15th minute before the home team had their first significant chance. However, Michael Olise’s attempt from the edge of the six-yard box was blocked. As a result, the Bayern professionals twice complained about a handball to no avail. First, Nuno Mendes, who had already been warned, blocked a pass with his arm (29th), shortly afterwards João Neves received the freeing blow from teammate Vitinha in his own box on his outstretched arm (31st). To Bayern’s dismay, referee João Pinheiro waved off both times.

PSG focused primarily on counter-attacks via their fast attacking players. Neves’ best chance after the early goal came from a free kick. His header was denied by Neuer, who reacted well (33′). Bayern had more chances, but Jamal Musiala (43′, 44′) and Jonathan Tah (45’+3) missed further opportunities shortly before half-time.
