In his statement to the media, Ben Sulayem said, regarding the possibility of the stages in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia not being included in the calendar again, “We can postpone the race in Qatar for a week and move the calendar forward. If this does not happen, if the homologation and other requirements are completed, maybe we can include Türkiye in the calendar this year. We are in consultation with the organizers for the best scenario in terms of logistics.” he said.
Referring to what happened in the Middle East, Ben Sulayem said, “There is a bigger problem here than motor sports. Human life is always a priority. I hope it will end soon, we will return to normal and we will not have to live with this stress. God forbid, if it continues until October or November, then we will definitely not go there because safety comes first.” he said.
