Marcus Aurelius appears to be in self-administration proceedings.

The insolvency of the womenswear brand from Gütersloh is said to have been confirmed to the industry magazine Textilwirtschaft by Düsseldorf-based lawyer Frank Kebekus, who was appointed administrator. Accordingly, business operations will continue as planned and investors will be sought.

In mid-March, the previous boss Elena Weege is said to have left the brand after working as CEO for around one and a half years. In this context, Marc Aurel has already announced restructuring measures.

The company is currently led by interim managing director Jan Brandt, who says he has held the role on the LinkedIn career network since February. His goal is to secure operational performance and finances as well as the strategic future direction of the company. Brandt is a partner in the Hamburg consulting and interim management firm F&P Executive Solutions AG.
