Daphne Bunskoek was once verbally abused by Dieuwke Wynia, Matthijs van Nieuwkerk’s former horror sidekick. “I had never been scolded by anyone before!” she says.

Dieuwke Wynia has now made it a full-time job to shift the blame for all the misery at De Wereld Draait Door onto others. Although as Matthijs van Nieuwkerk’s horror sidekick she was even worse than the showmaster himself, she never actually admits guilt. Not in her columns, not in her book and not in interviews.

Scolded

Yet it really was a shrew, according to Daphne Bunskoek. She also had to deal with Dieuwke. “I was once scolded by Dieuwke myself. Yes, hahaha!”, she laughs at the desk. RTL Boulevard.

What then? “I was with another program, with Pauw & Witteman, and she thought I should have been with De Wereld Draait Door. Then she really scolded me in the bar afterwards.”

Kenau

Daphne listened to Mischa Blok’s radio interview with Dieuwke. “Mischa literally asks her: ‘If you were swearing at people, would you regret it?’, then she says: ‘Yes, but if a woman uses spicy words, it is sexist, because then she is seen as a kenau, while a man can do that.’”

The Boulevard presenter concludes: “But I had never been scolded by anyone before, so it was a first experience. I was completely astonished. That had nothing to do with sexism, so in that respect it is a shame that she could not admit that it was a mistake that affected a lot of people.”
