The semiconductor sector has been in the focus of investors for some time. Investors were therefore eagerly awaiting the AMD figures, which were announced after trading on Tuesday.
In the first quarter of 2026, the semiconductor giant AMD achieved a significant jump in profits. Earnings per share rose from $0.44 a year ago to $0.84 per share, beating analysts’ estimates of $1.28.
Sales also developed positively and climbed from $7.44 billion to $10.25 billion. AMD thus generated more than the market had expected – analysts had forecast revenues of $9.88 billion.
After hours on the NASDAQ, AMD shares were at $414.00, 16.53 percent higher.
