A national survey by the consulting firm Zuban Córdoba once again focused on the evolution of the image of the country’s main political leaders, in a context crossed by economic tensions and reconfiguration of the map of power. The survey located the Buenos Aires governor Axel Kicillofto the vice president Victoria Villarruel, to the legislator Patricia Bullrichto the former Minister of Economy Sergio Massa already the leftist leader Myriam Bregman as the figures with the best relative image, while the president Javier Milei It appeared in sixth place in the ranking, a fact that reflects a change with respect to previous measurements in which it led more clearly.
The Buenos Aires president leads the result with 45.2% of positive image, followed by the second in line of presidential succession with 42.3% and the senator from Buenos Aires completes the podium with 37.3. In fourth place, the former Minister of Economy and former presidential candidate, Sergio Massa, is with 37.3% and is followed by the Trotskyist leader Bregman with 35.1%. Only the Head of State appears with a better image by positioning himself with 34.8%.
The study was carried out based on a national quantitative survey, based on online and telephone surveys on a representative sample of the adult population, segmented by region, age, gender and socioeconomic level. The consulting firm applied positive, negative and differential image indicators to build the final ranking. This type of methodology, common in public opinion polls in the country, allows us to capture not only levels of support but also rejection, a key factor in scenarios of high political polarization.
Furthermore, the work was developed in a recent period, marked by legislative debates and tensions within the ruling party, which usually directly impacts citizen perception. The result, with Milei off the image podium, was interpreted by several analysts as a sign of the wear and tear that the exercise of power in adverse economic contexts can generate. The persistence of inflation, the fall in consumption and the difficulties in consolidating a sustained recovery configure a scenario in which the government’s social evaluation tends to become more demanding.

In this framework, figures like Kicillof or Massa—associated with economic management at different times—maintain relatively stable image levels in certain segments, while leaders like Bullrich or Villarruel capitalize on more defined profiles in specific areas such as security or institutionality. But, according to the average, the economy appears, in this sense, as a determining variable to understand the results of the survey.
In contexts of uncertainty, social humor usually translates into oscillations in the image of leaders, especially the president, who concentrates responsibility for the general progress of the country. Thus, Milei’s position in sixth place does not necessarily imply a collapse of support, but it does show greater fragmentation in public assessment and more open competition between different political figures for the 2027 presidential elections, in a scenario where public opinion appears volatile and strongly conditioned by the daily economic situation.
