Last week the election for sports journalist of the year took place in England. A mega-event every season, where hundreds of sports reporters gather and thousands of story submissions are received. The winner was Jonathan Northcroft, the brilliant football journalist from The Sunday Times who writes about the Premier League. And the latter in particular is not surprising.
