The provincial deputy Carlos D’Alessandro formalized this week the creation of the monoblock “Argentine Consolidation” in the San Luis Legislature, becoming the first institutional representative of the space that promotes the pastor and communicator Dante Gebel as a possible presidential candidate in 2027.

D’Alessandro is not a new name in San Luis politics: he was a central piece in the original assembly of La Libertad Avanza in San Luis and came to occupy a seat in the national Congress. His break with the ruling party dates back to August 2025, when he voted against the presidential veto of the Disability Emergency Lawa decision that triggered an internal crisis that left him outside the block. After forming the “Coherence” bench along with other legislators, the distancing was total. The dispute also included a conflict with Karina Milei for control of the party seal in the district, which led to judicial intervention and prevented him from using the name “La Libertad Avanza.” With this background, he resigned from his national bank and concentrated on provincial politics, where today he leads the local construction of this new alternative.

“Argentine Consolidation” It had given its first blow in March 2026, with an event in Lanús that brought together Peronists, ex-libertarians, unionists and social leaders. Gebel did not participate in person, but his figure was the axis of the call. The movement seeks to get rid of the label of “religious space” and present itself as a transversal proposal focused on efficiency and ethics, which disputes the vote of center-right without anchoring themselves in traditional party identities.

Located between Miami and Los AngelesGebel introduces himself as a “speaker, influencer, actor and television host” and accumulates millions of followers throughout the Spanish-speaking world. His emergence into Argentine politics generates conflicting readings: some see him as a outsider capable of capturing social disenchantment; others warn of a conservative advance with international linkshighlighting his closeness with figures such as Nayib Bukele and his critical positions regarding progressive agendas in the United States, where he opposed abortion, equal marriage, and California health policies during the pandemic.

The Puntano monoblock appears as the first step in a strategy with federal projection: according to sources close to D’Alessandro, the scheme could be replicated in other provinces in the coming months. Gebel has not yet confirmed a candidacy, but the territorial advance and the construction of its own legislative structures reveal that the space is committed to consolidating long before the arrival of the 2027 electoral calendar.
