Actress Cameron Diaz and Good Charlotte member Benji Madden have become parents again. On May 4th, they announced the birth of their son Nautas Madden on Instagram.
Madden wrote: “Cameron and I are happy, excited and feel so BLESSED to announce the birth of our third child, Nautas Madden. Welcome to the world my son!! 👊❤️”
Three kids thanks to a surrogate mother
Like the couple’s other two children, the new offspring was born via surrogacy. Daughter Raddix was born in 2020, son Cardinal two years ago. According to Women’s Health, the couple decided to use a surrogate mother after repeated unsuccessful attempts at artificial insemination. However, they kept details private.
Diaz was 47 when her first daughter was born; today she is 53. Her husband Benji Madden is now 47. Neither of them sees her age as an obstacle to raising children. Diaz even joked that she must live to be at least 107, a comment made after her daughter was born.
Cameron Diaz returns to set
In recent years, Cameron Diaz has retired from the film business to devote herself to her family life. However, before the birth of her third child, she returned to the camera for the film “Back in Action”.
She explained her temporary withdrawal more specifically in 2025 on “E! News” with the following words: “You’re a different person when you have children, when you’re married, when you’ve built a life. Everything changes: the whole perspective, the whole world, the understanding of it. I’ve never made a film before while having a family. So all the criteria that have to be met change. That’s the most important thing, and everything else has to be aligned to support that.”
