People are standing in front of the entrance of Bevrijdingspop collecting cans and bottles. Some of the visitors give it to the collectors, others throw it on the ground. “It’s going really well,” says one of the women, “but there are more and the crowds have yet to come.”
If she does it alone and spends a day, she will raise fifty to a hundred euros, she says. “That’s nice free money.” In her case, the proceeds will go entirely to charity. “Proceeds go to Turkish stray dogs.”
