Marcos Herrera, what were the beginnings of InmoUp like?
Together with Gabriel Peralta and Fernando Sandmann, my partners, we began our journey more than 20 years ago participating in the development of the first real estate portal in Mendoza, where Fernando provided the technological and server infrastructure. In 2009, in the context of the subprime crisis, the original investors withdrew from the project and we assumed its leadership. We lead that company until early 2024, when, after strategic differences with our partners, we decided to start a new stage with InmoUp.
A key factor was that the entire team that had accompanied us for years decided to join this new challenge. This human capital was decisive in quickly consolidating InmoUp as the most relevant real estate portal in Mendoza and one of the main ones in the interior of the country.
What are the services you provide to the public?
InmoUp is a real estate marketplace that connects supply and demand efficiently. We provide publication services to real estate agencies, developers and owners, optimizing the visibility of each asset through our own technology.
Our focus is on generating qualified demand. Through the analysis of user behavior and internally developed algorithms, we manage to improve the exposure of the properties and increase the probability of completing operations.
How do you plan for the future?
We currently have a consolidated leadership position in Mendoza and the Cuyo region. The next step is to scale our model to new places in the interior of the country, where we already have relevant inventory. Regions like Córdoba and the NOA present clear opportunities to replicate our growth.
What are your differentials in the sector?
In a market where portals tend to be similar, our differential lies in two pillars.
On the one hand, we understand that the real estate business is essentially human. Therefore, we develop solutions focused on enhancing the productivity of the registered professional.
On the other hand, we have a valuation assistant based on artificial intelligence that provides key statistical information, facilitating the determination of market values and improving the quality of advice to the client.
Added to this is a strong closeness with our advertisers and a capacity for agile adaptation to the particularities of each market.
Are they currently the largest site in Mendoza?
Yes. We currently have nearly 20,000 ads in Mendoza, coming from more than 1,000 real estate agencies, and we exceed 150,000 ads nationwide. This positions us as one of the main players in the interior of the country.
