Accordingly, the North Germans are pushing for a transfer of the promising talent, who would be available for free in the summer. Concrete negotiations between the Bundesliga club and the players’ side are already underway. Quetant is not averse to moving to the Weser. Another German club, SC Freiburg, was also considered a possible buyer last week. The newspaper “Le Parisien” from Quetant’s hometown had named the Breisgau native as the favorite to sign him just a few days ago.
How sensitively Quetant’s personality is treated at Le Havre is shown by the fact that the home-grown player has not been part of the professional squad in table 14 since the end of March. Ligue 1 counts. Apparently because the player has not made a commitment to the club since then. When asked about the status of the player, sports director Mathieu Bodmer said: “This is not an easy matter.” In France, LOSC Lille is also considered interested.
Quetant made his breakthrough at Le Havre this season. From December to March he was on the field nine times for the professionals and scored the first goal in his starting debut in the second game. He had previously contributed 14 scorers to the U19 team and impressively demonstrated his qualities. In January, the offensive force received a starting market value of 150,000 euros, which was increased to 2 million euros in the most recent Ligue 1 update in March.
