Bundesliga professional fears participation in the World Cup

SC Freiburg couldn’t get beyond a draw against VfL Wolfsburg. But the game delivered further bad news for the Breisgauers.
SC Freiburg has to accept a loss in the crucial phase of the season. Midfielder Yuito Suzuki will be missing from the Bundesliga club for the time being. The Japanese international suffered a broken collarbone in a collision with Lovro Majer during the 1-1 draw against VfL Wolfsburg on Sunday and has already undergone surgery.
It is unclear how long the 24-year-old will be out for, and participation in the World Cup from June 11th to July 19th also seems unlikely. The Japanese national team will face the Netherlands, Tunisia and Sweden in Group F.
This means that Suzuki, who was signed by Bröndby IF last summer, will also be missing in the semi-final second leg of the Europa League on Thursday (9 p.m./RTL) against Sporting Braga after Freiburg lost the first leg 1-2. He is also out of the two remaining Bundesliga games against Hamburger SV and RB Leipzig. He would also miss a possible Europa League final.
Recently, the offensive player had developed into an important factor and collected seven scorer points in eleven European Cup games.
