Due to a fire in a garbage truck, the N371 near Havelte is closed for the time being. Just after ten, the truck driver discovered that his vehicle was on fire.
The driver pulled the garbage truck aside and tried to extinguish the fire himself. He eventually received help from the fire brigade. They quickly got the fire under control.
The cause of the fire is not yet known. No one was injured. The damaged garbage truck will be towed away.
