“They don’t want to see him anymore”: this would be the interception of April 2025 between the designator Gianluca Rocchi and the VAR supervisor Andrea Gervasoni, on which part of the accusation of complicity in sports fraud is based that the prosecutor Maurizio Ascione contested in the invitation to appear for Rocchi. That “they” does not have a name or surname, although from the phone call between the two, the investigators deduce that the Inter fans, in a meeting at San Siro on the evening of the Coppa Italia semi-final on 2 April, had transferred their lack of appreciation towards the referee Daniele Doveri to Rocchi. However, he was appointed immediately three days later for the Parma-Inter championship match.
