Former fisheries chaplain Dirk Demaeght has died, reports Erfgoed Visserij Oostduinkerke. He was born in 1949 and was ordained a priest in 1978. At the beginning of his career he was active as a religious teacher in Kortrijk, later he became director of the fishing school in Ostend.
