A used Jeep from World War II and a worn jacket from an aviator. These are just two attributes that Antoinette Rijpma-de Jong and her husband Coen have collected from the period that marks such an important moment in history. Skating obviously plays a major role in their lives, but it is not just sport that the pair are involved in a lot. Now that May 4 and 5 are approaching, they want to create awareness. “The fact that I can live the life of a top athlete is because others have fought for it in the past.”
