After promotion: future of Schalke’s successful coach clarified

In his first season at FC Schalke 04, coach Miron Muslic achieved promotion to the Bundesliga. This is also worthwhile for him personally.
Successful coach Miron Muslic will stay with Schalke 04 after promotion to the Bundesliga. In the midst of the celebrations in the stadium after the decisive 1-0 (1-0) against Fortuna Düsseldorf, the club announced the contract extension with Muslic until 2028.
“Bundesliga, we’re coming, together. Let’s go Schalke!” Muslic shouted into the stadium microphone. The fans cheered loudly for the coach.
“It meant so, so much to us. For us. But it meant even more to Schalke,” Muslic had previously said on Sky.
At the final whistle he felt “absolute gratitude and awe for this moment,” he said on RTL: “It’s something special. We are just happy and proud that we can celebrate this with so many Schalke players here in the stadium and everywhere in Germany.”
Muslic came to Schalke for the new season – and confidently led the team to promotion. “Self-confidence is everything – this man has managed to give Schalke an identity again,” said defender Timo Becker on Sky: “He deserves it, he should be celebrated.”
