Before the Bundesliga game
Touching action from FC Bayern for Heidenheim professional
May 2, 2026 – 2:32 p.mReading time: 1 min.

When FC Bayern meets FC Heidenheim, the sporting value of the game takes a back seat, at least for a short time.
FC Bayern and the active fan scene around the Bayernfans club help e. V. have organized a registration campaign for the German Bone Marrow Donor Registry (DKMS). Before the game against Heidenheim on Saturday (3:30 p.m. in the live ticker on t-online), fans had the opportunity to be added to the database between 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on the esplanade in front of the Allianz Arena.
Bayern President Herbert Hainer had previously said that one should not hesitate “if one can save lives.” At the same time, the 71-year-old added: “It’s very easy to register; players are already listed in the file – we hope for strong participation from fans in this important topic.”
This campaign takes on a particularly emotional note due to a message from mid-April. At that time, Heidenheim’s Eren Dinkçi made it public that his girlfriend Cinja was suffering from blood cancer. For many of those affected, a stem cell donation is the decisive chance of survival.
Numerous registrations increase the chance for Dinkçi’s friend and other patients that a suitable donor can be found. At least that is the great hope behind such actions as at the Allianz Arena. FC Heidenheim had also already carried out a registration campaign for the home game against St. Pauli (2-0).
455 fans registered, and now more from Munich are to be added so that potential stem cell donors can be found.
