He was born and raised in Emmen and will return to the North in a while. It has been nice after 33 times the Tour de France, 15 Olympic Games and thousands of other sports competitions. He won the World Press Photo and much more. But sports photographer Klaas Jan van der Weij is far from finished. And that’s a good thing. ‘I’ll soon be throwing my entire archive into the container.’
