More than five hundred kilos of illegal fireworks were found last week in a business premises on the Industrieweg in Hoogeveen. The load of fireworks has been seized, the police reported.
Officers have a suspect in their sights for possession of the fireworks, a 49-year-old man from Hoogeveen. The police were tipped off via a report from Meld Misdaad Anoniem.
