The Finnish Ice Hockey Federation announces that defender Rasmus Rissanen and forward Juho Lammikko will have to leave the ongoing EHT tournament in the Czech Republic.
– As expected, Rissanen has not recovered to playing condition in Kouvola on Friday 24.4. from the injury he received in the match against Denmark. Lammikko, on the other hand, injured himself in yesterday’s match against the Czech Republic, the association informs, continuing:
– For both players, the situation means that the WC camp ends, and the players are not available for the WC.
Rissanen and Lammikko were both involved in last spring’s World Championships in Sweden.
Lammikko has won the world championship twice with the Lions (2019 and -22).
Leijonat also told about a new confirmation today, when NHL club Chicago Blackhawks forward Teuvo Teräväinen will join the Finnish team’s trip to the World Cup in Switzerland.
The games of Finland, or the Lions, continue in the EHT tournament in the Czech Republic this weekend. Finland will face Switzerland on Saturday and Sweden on Sunday. Both matches start at 1 p.m.
