Chicago Blackhawks forward Teuvo Teräväinen31, jumps with the Lions when the World Cup starts.
– The ability to make sharp plays and know how to attack are skills that will certainly be useful when the World Cup starts, GM of the Lions Jere Lehtinen says.
The tournament is Teräväinen’s third men’s WC tournament in his career.
He also represented Finland in the winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina, in the 4 Nations Face-Off tournament played a year ago and in the 2016 World Cup.
Teräväinen scored 14+21=35 in 75 games in the NHL this season.
