According to a spokesperson for the Kennemerland Safety Region, the fire started in the logo of a hotel at Schiphol, with parts of the logo falling down.
How the fire in the logo could have started is still being investigated. But the safety region suspects that the fire was caused by a short circuit.
380 guests evacuated
A spokesperson said that 380 guests have been evacuated as a precaution. They were taken care of in an adjacent hotel, but were able to return after the fire. According to the safety region, no injuries were reported.
