The joint anti-jihadist force of Niger, Burkina Faso and Mali has carried out “intensive airstrikes” in northern Mali. The attacks follow attacks carried out last Saturday by Islamists and Tuareg rebels against the military junta, the Niger government announced on Thursday evening.
