In Görlitzer Park, at Oranienplatz, in Friedrichshain – there is a live program everywhere on May 1st. Here is an overview.
May 1st is Labor Day and is a public holiday throughout Germany. There is a lot of celebration, especially in the capital: many clubs offer free entry, and many DJs invite you to dance and party on the streets and in parks. Like every year, some artists will once again be providing musical programs for free.

BHZ: Gig in Schöneberg on April 30th
The first concert actually starts a day earlier: BHZ are playing a secret show in Schöneberg on April 30th. The exact location is not yet known, only the time – it should start at 7:30 p.m. The Berlin rap crew will post the location later on Thursday.
It’s not the first free BHZ concert. The crew already gave a one-hour free concert in the Malzfabrik at the end of 2023 – back then as a release party for their new album. The concert on April 30th is expected to take place on a larger scale and open air.
“Free Görli”: All-day line-up in Görlitzer Park
Things really get going on May 1st. A whole line-up of artists has been announced under the motto “Free Görli”. Sarah4K, PTK, Dahabflex, Skuff Barby, Drama Kuba and many other artists will be performing in Görlitzer Park.
A Secret Act has also been announced. Speakers who speak against the fencing and closure of the park are also invited. The event begins at 12 p.m. and lasts the entire afternoon.
RapK: Solo concert for Labor Day
The Kreuzberg crew RapK has also planned a live performance for May 1st. The group has been giving solo concerts on Labor Day for years and has gained mainstream recognition as a result. The tradition will continue this year too. Where and when exactly is still being kept secret by the rap crew. However, your fans should pay attention to a large shirt that the boys sprayed together – the necessary information should be accessible through it.
Ebow and Kkuba 102 on Oranienplatz
There is also a lot going on at Oranienplatz. Artists like Ebow, Ildikó, Amewu, Antifuchs, Kkuba102 from the 102 Boyz as well as Tapehead and Noni ensure the atmosphere before the “Revolutionary” demonstration starts there at 6 p.m. The on-site music show will start at 3:30 p.m.
Ikkimel and Alli Neumann in Friedrichshain
If you’re not a rap fan but still want to catch a live performance on May 1st, you can listen to singer Alli Neumann in Friedrichshain. She appears as a musical act at the Left event. She should be on stage at Mariannenplatz at 6:10 p.m. sharp.
A secret act was then announced for 7:15 p.m. Now it is clear who that will be. Ikkimel will really create a great atmosphere in Friedrichshain. Their provocative lyrics on rap and techno beats are definitely good to dance to.

Berlin on May 1st: More than just concerts
There is a lot going on in Berlin on May 1st – and in the days before. Not only well-known musicians and DJs are on the road live, many small artists also provide music with gigs on the streets. There is free entry to clubs like Else, Renate and Club Ost.
