The AEX closed solidly higher, mainly thanks to the better-than-expected quarterly reports from Magnum and Unilever, among others. The explanation of the interest rate decision also gave investors hope that the ECB will be somewhat cautious about interest rate increases later this year. The mood in the US is also excellent, although the quarterly reports from the large tech companies are not entirely received positively.
